Gaucho Rocket Project aims to provide students the tools to design, build, and launch rockets, fostering hands-on learning experiences. Pushing the boundaries of space exploration, we hope to inspire the next generation to further the endeavor into the cosmos.

Our Story

Gaucho Rocket Project began as all big endeavors do: as a dream. Our organization, even with limitations of space, funding, etc pushed forward to give UCSB Rocketry

Wanting to stray away from the traditional collegiate rocketry path, Gaucho Rocket Project aims to redefine noncompetitive rocketry. Our first project, Telluris will be out attempt to land a rocket safely back on Earth.

Summer Inernships

The Gauchonauts have been hard at work during the school year, but we are just as busy during the summer. See what some of our Gauchonauts will be doing this summer.

Terrence Lei

Northrup Grumman

Terrance will be spending the summer at Northrup Grumman in Goleta developing satellite technology to be implemented in Space. He is particularly working on future space telescopes that will help humanity better understand the cosmos
